Year 5 Outdoor Learning

For our outdoor learning this week, we have been working in our Saxon Camp. We explored what life was like during those times by looking at various jobs people would have had in a Saxon village, and we all had a go at fire lighting.

Later, we compared life as an Anglo Saxon to what life would have been like in Ancient Baghdad. Next, we were posed the question “When would you have rather lived?” We teamed up, depending on our answers and had a debate with the opposing team. Each side gave reasons for when they would have rather lived. Most of us chose life in Ancient Baghdad, as they were much more advanced and sophisticated than the Anglo Saxons!
