Year 6 celebrate the 40s and the Queen

Year 6 have had a fantastic time celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. This morning, they participated in a Jubilee art lesson and are now experts at drawing corgis! Over the last week, they have created fact files in the shape of Queen Elizabeth II, written non-chronological reports about her life and have practised their drawing and shading with some portrait work. Finally, children welcomed pupils from lower site for a celebration of the monarch over the decades. We're really proud of our children's singing this afternoon and how enthusiastically they have engaged in the celebrations. Well done, Year 6!
