Celebrating St. George's Day at Topsite!, by Miss M Jones

Date: 26th Apr 2021 @ 11:16am

What a wonderful time Years 5 and 6 have had celebrating St. George's Day! Everyone marked the occasion by dressing in red and white. Like last year, we couldn't have our usual community parade due to government restrictions. However, we have still been busy by making pennants in Year 5, and a batik tapestry in Year 6. In the morning, we joined in with a singing event organised by AmaSing. We have also completed literacy work around St. George, and included some drama!
Our children enjoyed a themed lunch every day of the week leading up to St. George's day, prepared by our amazing Dragon's Diner team. On the 23rd, we sat on the field and revelled in the most delightful picnic, which consisted of sausage rolls, chips, strawberries & cream, and themed cakes!

Take a look at the festivities below!
