Date: 4th May 2020 @ 4:06pm

VE Day

To celebrate VE day, both year 1 and 2 have been busy creating a banner to display outside topsite. We used a stamp to print the flags and handprints to create the doves. See some images below of the children hard at work. Could you create a banner or poster to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day on the 8th? You can find weekly activities linked to VE day on the 'this week's learning tasks' section on the relevant year group page. Happy VE day! :)

We printed these lovely messages off, stuck them onto card and then decorated our posters with Easter pictures that make us feel happy. See our posters below. We hope they make you smile! :)

We would love to see vegetable creations from our families  - this may involve carving into or adding features onto fruits / vegetables -  you may choose to make an individual character or a small scene, inspiration could come from your child’s favourite story character, favourite animal or insect – the list is endless. We would encourage the use of inexpensive and hardy vegetables such as potatoes / carrots etc.

We are hoping you will enjoy participating in this creative play with your child and we are very excited to see your imaginative creations!

We ask that all creations are brought into school on Wednesday 16th October so that they can be displayed at upper site for the event on the 17th.  Please do not send in items before this day as they cannot be stored.
