We pride ourselves on being a listening school. We want to know if we are doing things well. Equally, we also want to know if there are areas that we can improve.
We ensure that we do this regularly through;
- Good communication and an open door policy
- Issues being discussed at our Parents' Forum
- Anonomised bi-annual parent surveys
Complaints are very rare. When they do occur, we want to manage them transparently and ensure that everybody is treated with dignity and respect.
The guidance attached will help you to approach the school with a complaint.
In the first instance we ask that all complaints (unless they are about staff conduct or safeguarding) are taken to the class teacher or if the matter is a serious one the complaint should go to the Assistant Head Teacher for that teaching band. They are:
- Mrs Binks for EYFS (Nursery and Foundation 2)
- mrs Binks for Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2)
- Mrs Chambers for Years 3 and 4
- Mrs Horton for Years 5 and 6
If complaints are regarding school's Special Needs and Disability provision they should be sent to Mrs Sonya Huxley our school's SENDCO.

If your complaint is about still unresolved and you are unhappy about school policy not being followed or the conduct of the headteacher your complaint can be escalated to the Governing Body. This would be sent to Mr Kamal Choudhary the clerk to governors. Please note governors do not make operational decisions but will ensure that school policies are followed and that our staff's conduct reflects our professional expectations.
