Welcome

Welcome to our updated website.  We hope that this website is is an informative 'one stop shop' for families to find out information about our school.

St George's mission statement is to 'nurture our families with opportunities, innovation and love'.  Our website should reflect these values by assisting families and showcasing our amazing children.

Families also engage with our school through Seesaw (Early Years to Year 3) and Google Classroom (Years 3 to 6)

At St George's, we are passionate about a high quality education for all children.  We want our children to excel across areas of the curriculum and access an enriching range of opportunities to learn and grow.  We have excellent educational outcomes but our work is much broader and meaningful than that. Our curriculum has 4 drivers.

We are delighted that our work is acknowledged.  We are a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence, hold the Carnegie Silver Award for Mental Health and are a lead school with partner agencies for phonics, science education, computing, phonics and many other areas of school life.

We are proud to be at the centre of the Wallasey Village community.  We work closely with our local primary schools, secondary schools, charity bodies, health agencies, community hubs, local churches and sporting clubs so ensure that provide a meaningful offer to our families.  We are an inclusive education and believe that every child deserves to be in a school where they can be the best version of themselves and and are nurtured to become remarkable young people.

We pledge to make our school a safe, happy place to learn for all and expect our staff to model to this at all times.  Our ambitious curriculum is the driver for excellence.  We believe that all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally when we work together.  Our school RESPECT values of Resilience, Empathy, Self-Awareness, Positivity, Excellence, Communication and Teamwork are explicitly taught and celebrated.

We believe that education is a shared responsibility, and we encourage parents to be actively involved in their child's education. We offer a range of opportunities for parent and carer involvement, including parent-teacher meetings, school 'showcase' events, volunteer opportunities, coffee mornings, concerts, performances and other events throughout the year.

We hope that you enjoy learning more about our school through our website. If you do have any questions or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office through our 'contact us' page.
