Topsite Eco Warriors Get Loud on Litter!

Our Topsite Eco Council have launched their latest campaign: Get Loud on Litter! 

Some brave members delivered the pertinent message of the effects of litter in an assembly alongside Mr Cassidy and Miss Jones - in front of 240 pupils! 

We started with a game of true or false, then moved on to some 'did you know?' facts. After this, our Eco Councillors shared the reason behind Get Loud on Litter: it is everyone's responsibility to look after the one planet we share. Our Eco Warriors will support and champion this message. 

Then, we discussed all of the many things we do as a school already that helps the cause, including: recycling of paper;  turning our food waste into green energy with ReFood; litter picking; creating things out of recycled materials; and eradicating single use plastic from our school kitchens.

So, what next? With brand new litter picking equipment and special, green eco hi-vis' from Mr Cassidy, we aim to litter pick daily and audit our waste. We will also carry out more community litter picks.
