Midday Assistant

Salary: Band B £3,639 to £3,722

6.25 hours per week, 38 weeks a year (term time only)

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Assistant to join our dedicated team and to assist with the supervision of our children at lunchtime

The role involves supervising the welfare of children aged 3-11 in the dining hall, playground and classroom.

We require a caring, committed individual who has the ability to work as part of the school team and inspire trust and confidence in children.

The successful candidate must be self motivated, flexible and a good team player, who is dedicated to ensuring that lunchtime is a pleasurable and safe experience for our children.

The current vacancy is for 5 days, Monday to Friday working 1¼ hours per day - 12pm - 1.15pm

Qualifications 

 

  • Experience of supervising children either as a parent or carer.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

 

  • To undergo First Aid training and record incidents on school system.

Experience

 

  • Working with adults/children.

 

 

  • Prior experience of supervising children within a school or voluntary sector setting would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work using own initiative.
  • Punctuality.
  • Courteousness.
  • Supervise lunchtime to maintain the health, safety, welfare, behaviour, and safeguarding of all pupils.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Loyal and dependable.

 

  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Listening skills.
  • Flexibility.

Special Requirement

  • Police clearance to be completed.

 

  • Ability to liaise and co-operate with Senior Supervisor and colleagues.
