Thursday 11 December 2025 6A Violin Concert 🎄 6A performed a spectacular violin concert this afternoon in front of their families. They showcased all of their refined skills, showcasing excellence in scales and pizzicato! Thank you all so much for attending, and a huge thank you to our peripatetic teacher, Mrs Pue-Richards for teaching the children since January 2025!

Wednesday 10 December 2025 Family Santa Dash This weekend , we held our annual family Santa dash! It was fantastic to see so many of our children and families coming together, dressed in festive outfits and getting into the Christmas spirit while taking part in fun, physical activity. The atmosphere was full of laughter, smiles and holiday cheer.

Monday 8 December 2025 Culture Club trip to Namibia Following on from South Africa we had a fantastic visit to Namibia last week as part of Culture Club. A huge thank you to Mr Nicodemus and Ms Walters for helping us to learn about the country, traditions and discovering more delicious food!

Thursday 4 December 2025 Year 3-4 Choir Visit The Year 3 and 4 Choir had a lovely opportunity to sing some Christmas Songs for the residents at Marine View Lodge Care Home on the 3rd December. It was a wonderful occasion where the children were able to go out into our local community and spread some Christmas joy! We are so immensely proud of their hardwork and commitment that they have shown.

Tuesday 11 November 2025 Remembrance Our Year 6 pupils have been deeply engaged in learning about Remembrance and the impact of war. As part of their history work on World War I and World War II,the children recently took part in a brilliant Evacuation Day, immersing themselves in the experiences of evacuees through role play, artefacts, and storytelling. This hands-on learning brought history to life and helped the pupils develop a deeper understanding of the courage and resilience shown during wartime. Today, at 11am, Year 6 participated in a thoughtful Remembrance observance, where they reflected on the sacrifices made by so many.

Friday 7 November 2025 Year three computing Year three had a visit from our technician in school this week to support us with our computing curriculum. He talked to us about his job and what he does on a daily basis, told us about different careers in the computing world and also helped us to understand the network we use/have in school. It was really helpful to have Jay in classes this week!

Thursday 6 November 2025 Playleader Success- 60 Second Challenges Our Lower Site Playleaders have been leading the 60 Second Challenges, giving children the chance to take part in fun fitness activities and beat their personal bests across a range of challenges. Pupils can achieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards while staying active and challenging themselves.

Monday 29 September 2025 2025 Wheelie Breakfast Last week saw the return of the Wheelie Breakfasts! Each year, our wonderful eco team run Wheelie Breakfasts to promote active travel. A huge well done to everyone who blinged their bike, scooter, skateboard and even shoes! St. George's prides itself on encouraging walking, cycling, scooting and parking & striding to school as well as educating pupils on how to do so as safely as possible. Our first 100 active travellers were rewarded with a free breakfast, and children were able to purchase reflective items for £1.

Friday 26 September 2025 Y5 visit the World Museum and Planetarium This week, Year 5 children had a wonderful time visiting the World Museum and the Planetarium linking to our current Science topic, all about Space. Students were able to explore the wonders of space with a fascinating live show in the Planetarium, where they discovered more about stars, planets, the first moon landing, and the solar system like never before. They also had the opportunity to explore other exhibits throughout the museum linking to prior knowledge in other subjects including History, Science and Art.
