Mini Police Clock Speed of Traffic!

This afternoon, Merseyside Police imparted their traffic knowledge to our Mini Police in the form of using hand-held, radar guns to measure the speed of moving vehicles!

We based ourselves outside Topsite, at the corner of Claremont Road and Lyndhurst Road, and waited for traffic to ascend the hill, then aimed the apparatus at oncoming vehicles! We were taught the proper way of holding the speed guns, and how to accurately clock how fast a car, van or bike travelled.

As part of our road safety campaign, any traffic clocked going 35mph or over will be receiving a letter and a specially designed infographic from our Mini Police as a reminder of why it is important to follow the law and travel at the correct speed.
