Super Scientists in 6A!

Today marked the end of British Science Week 2021. Children across both sites at St. George's engaged well and participated enthusiastically in various activities, experiements and tasks surrounding the theme for this year: 'Innovating For The Future'. Years 5 and 6 have also been fortunate enough to hear inspiring talks from some of Britain's top inventors and scientists - Mr Julian Parker of Tayhope Enterprises and Titan Electricity Ltd., Dr Neale Davies of Clean Growth and Mr David Brayne of Innovate Edge.

Yesterday, 6A became masters of the Rube Goldberg machine! The children watched a complex version created by musicians, OK Go!, then constructed and programmed their own Lego WeDo models to begin a chain reaction. It took determination, creativity, patience and - most importantly - fun! After a few attempts, some groups were even successful! Take a look below......
