Wirral Schools Poetry Festival

To celebrate World Poetry Day, a group of year 3 children took part in the Wirral Schools Poetry Festival at Park Primary School. They performed a poem that they had written about human rights. It was a great afternoon as they got to see performances from 6 other local schools who we have been working with on the Voice21 oracy project. They also had the pleasure of watching Martyn Harvey perform one of his poems and he gave them all a copy of his book. It was a fabulous afternoon and we were very proud of our children who came 2nd in the poetry competition.
