Year 4 Chester trip ?

WOW! What a first day of our trip.

After a bit of a wet start to our morning, the sun shone brightly as we marched the cobbles of Chester like Roman soldiers led by Marcus and Tiberius.
We marched and chanted our way to the Roman gardens and ampitheatre, with our shields ?and swords ? in tow. We reinacted battle formations and even took part in our very own Roman battle to the death with our teachers. ??

After lunch, Ellie, Tiberius and Sarah showed us around the Deva centre.
We learnt all about the different gods and goddesses worshiped by the Romans. ??
We were very shocked the learn about hygiene and Roman toilets, but very interested in their many different baths. ?

Ellie showed us Roman armour and told us about the advantages and disadvantages of having to wear it daily. ? We loved trying on the different Roman outfits, and even snapped a few pictures.

After an action packed day, we retired back to the YHA, to fill our bellies, play some games and get settled in our rooms for the night. ?

We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

The year 4 team ??
