Midday Assistant

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Assistant to join the dedicated team and to assist with the supervision of our Year 5 & 6 children at lunchtime.

The role involves supervising the welfare of children aged 9-11 in the dining hall, playground and classroom. at our Upper SIte on Claremount Road.

We require a caring, committed individual who has the ability to work as part of the school team and inspire trust and confidence in children.

The successful candidate must be self motivated, flexible and a good team player, who is dedicated to ensuring that lunchtime is a pleasurable and safe experience for our children.

The current vacancy is for 5 days, Monday to Friday working 1¼ hours per day - 12pm - 1.15pm

Closing date is: Friday 9th May 2025 at 9am

	Essential Attributes	Desirable Attributes
Qualifications	Experience of supervising children either as a parent or carer. Good standard of literacy and numeracy.	To undergo First Aid training and record incidents on school system.
Experience	Working with adults/children.	Prior experience of supervising children within a school or voluntary sector setting would be an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills	Ability to work using own initiative. Punctuality. Courteousness. Supervise lunchtime to maintain the health, safety, welfare, behaviour, and safeguarding of all pupils. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Loyal and dependable.	Ability to work within a team. Listening skills. Flexibility.
Special Requirement	Police clearance to be completed.	Ability to liaise and co-operate with Senior Supervisor and colleagues.
