Smartphone Free Childhood Debate

Staff and governors at St George's want to have a healthy debate with our children and families about how we help them navigate the digital world.

We are proud to be par of the Smartphone Free Childhood movement but recognise that the most important aspect is that we use this to have a healthy and respectful discussion about how we help our children to be safe and thrive.

At the end of Summer 1 half term, Mr Cassidy hosted a launch assembly on the topic with year 5 and 6 pupils. He has invited them to join in with a debate on the topic, encouraging them to go away and do some research to build evidence and robust arguments - with a view to all of us entering into the conversation with open minds.
