Year 4 Experience Easter at St Hilary

This week, year 4 children have enjoyed visiting St Hilary's Church for Experience Easter. Whilst at the church, children explored 6 different stations in which they learnt about the Easter story.

With Dot and Marie, they learnt about hopes and dreams, discussing Palm Sunday and the  hopes and dreams of the people of Jerusalem. We wrote down our own hopes and dreams.

Colin and David taught us about Jesus being the servant King and how we can all serve each other and be kind.

We had a last supper with Louise and Debbie and talked about things we remember from when we were younger and how we are reminded of special memories.

Sue and Demi gave us a chance to explore what gives us comfort and brings us peace.

With Ian, Ann and Mark with learnt about sharing our sorrows. We learnt about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, and his crucifixion and how the cross has become the sign of hope for anyone who is suffering.

At our last station, Alan taught us about the resurrection and how this was a sign of hope. He told us why we celebrate Easter and why it is such a special holiday to many people Christians around the world.

Thank you St Hilary's Church for hosting a fantastic experience for our children.
