Year 6 celebrate World Book Day

Yesterday, year 6 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. This year, instead of dressing up, children were invited to bring in their favourite books alongside clues. The other children in thier class then had to guess the title of that book based on the prompts. There were some absolutely brilliant clues, which made it tricky to guess the books. Mrs Roberts was very impressed with some of her class' recommendations; she has even added some new books to her wish list!

In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to be joined author Rob Keeley. Rob has written a number of award-winning children's books and has also been involved in stage comedy. Rob explained his writing process - from the initial manuscript to deciding on illustrations for the front cover. Some children then bought one his books to read at home.
