Modeshift Awards 2026!

On Wednesday, some of our Year 6 Eco Council were invited to Start-Yard in Birkenhead by Modeshift Stars to receive our bronze Modeshift award! Over the past few years, we have been heavily involved in promoting active travel. We have conducted Wheelie Breakfasts, created and maintained a School Street, had scooter/balance bike training in KS1 to name a few things!

We were delighted to receive this award in recognition of our efforts from our Active Travel Officer, Chris Malburn, and LCR Walking & Cycling Commissioner, Simon O'Brien. We are working hard to implement more initiatives that will hopefully bump our next award up to silver!

Our children visited different stalls inside Start-Yard such as, Merseyrail, Living Streets, Eco Schools, and Modeshift themselves. Huge thank you to all of the different stalls for the lovely freebies the children were given! We even met some friendly, well-behaved dogs!

Keep an eye out for the professional pictures to follow!
