Oracy History Lesson in 6E - Debating the legacies of slavery.

This afternoon, we delved into the past to explore the legacy of slavery in Britain, from key revolutions through to the passing of the Slavery Abolition Act on 28th August 1833. The children thoughtfully considered both sides of the argument, using historical sources to support their ideas. It was a pleasure to see their mature and reflective performances around such a significant and sensitive topic.
