An Inspirational Visit from Alfie Watts
Today, our Year 3–6 children were incredibly lucky to welcome Alfie Watts to school.
Alfie spoke openly and honestly about his journey with mental health, sharing his experiences and explaining how they have shaped what he is doing today to raise money and awareness for mental health charities.
The children were fascinated to hear about Alfie’s incredible journey on Race Across The World, as well as his amazing Tuk Tuk Challenge. He shared stories from his adventures and talked about the challenges he has faced along the way, inspiring our children to think about resilience, kindness and looking after their own mental health and the mental health of others.
The children were hugely inspired by Alfie’s story and had lots of thoughtful questions for him.
Alfie left us with a simple but very important message:
“Always be kind.”
A huge thank you to Alfie for visiting us and for sharing his story with our children. His message will certainly stay with us!
