World Book Day Celebrations on Top Site
All the children on Top Site had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. Year 5 and 6 children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing some of their favourite texts to life across the classrooms.
Celebrations included pupils visited the top site library to explore new books and share their love of reading; discovering new authors, genres and stories to add to their reading lists.
Some classes also visited one another to find out what everyone is currently reading. Pupils enjoyed recommending books, talking about their favourite characters and listening to short extracts from different stories.
It was wonderful to see children and adults alike share their enthusiasm for reading. Many thanks to you as families for instilling this joy in your children at home.
