• Friday 27 March 2026 Dragon Club March, 26
• Thursday 26 March 2026 3A & 3B - DT Year 3 children in classes 3A and 3B have had a fantastic time creating a savoury food item as part of their DT project. They used a range of practical skills, including chopping, peeling, grating and spreading, to prepare their chosen product—either a bagel, sandwich or wrap. The children selected a variety of healthy ingredients and carefully considered the Eatwell Guide, which they have previously explored in both Science and DT lessons.
• Thursday 26 March 2026 Day Two at the Conway Centre Staff and children had a busy morning in Anglesey orienteering, using the low ropes and having fun on the water.

• Wednesday 25 March 2026 A fabulous First day at the Conway Centre! Year 4 have settled into their activities and have been real firestarters! They have been on the water, up the climbing wall, across the zip wire and toasted marshmallows in the woods!

• Friday 20 March 2026 Thorndale Tennis Roadshow Coach Dave visited to deliver a Tennis Roadshow for children from Foundation 2 to Year 2. The children enjoyed a range of fun games while developing their ball control skills.
• Tuesday 17 March 2026 Year 3 trip to the Liverpool Philharmonic Our children had a wonderful morning on their visit to the Liverpool Philharmonic, where they experienced the magic of a live orchestra performance. The excitement began with their journey on the train, which they thoroughly enjoyed and added to the sense of adventure for the day. The concert followed an Earth-themed focus, and the children were especially engaged when learning about bees as pollinators, linking perfectly with their recent science lesson. They loved joining in with a lively bee song and were fascinated as the room changed colours in response to the music. Throughout the session, they were captivated by the orchestra and enthusiastically took part in singing, dancing, and actions. It was a memorable and inspiring experience that brought music and learning to life, leaving everyone smiling.
• Friday 13 March 2026 British Science Week - Year 3 Year 3 had a fantastic time celebrating British Science Week! Throughout the week, we embraced our curiosity, asked lots of questions, and enjoyed finding out more about the world around us.

• Monday 9 March 2026 Tree Planting at Top Site Thank you to members of the Wallasey Tree Society who gave up their time on a Saturday to plant more than 80 trees along the path at upper site. The beech trees will form a hedge to help protect the grass at the front of school.

• Friday 13 February 2026 Author visit to Y5 James Warwood, a brilliant author, visited top site this week to share some of his brilliant new books. He shared the process of writing and illustrating some of his books and worked with each class to complete a drawing workshop.
• Friday 13 February 2026 5B’s History visit from Mrs Marshall This week, 5B were very fortunate to have Mrs Marshall visit to deliver a lesson in History focusing on how Ancient Baghdad and their advances in medicine and how they have impacted on life today. Mrs Marshall brought in real life sources for us to explore which was very exciting.

• Wednesday 11 February 2026 Simon's Marathon Fundraiser St George's guitar, ukelele and drum teacher Simon Harper is taking on a marathon fundraiser over the next few months for his music charity.
• Friday 6 February 2026 Year 4 Showcase Today the children in year 4 showed why St George's is a Centre of Oracy Excellence. They produced a fantastic musical performance on the ukelele which left us in awe of their musical talents.
• Thursday 5 February 2026 Y3/4 Dodgeball Competition A team of children from Years 3 and 4 recently attended the Wirral Schools' Dodgeball Festival and did an outstanding job! They played with enthusiasm and were excellent ambassadors for the school.
• Thursday 5 February 2026 Y3/4 Football Team at Activity for All Tournament Earlier this week, our Year 3 and Year 4 football team took part in a Wirral Schools' Tournament at Activity for All.
• Wednesday 4 February 2026 Amelie wins Catering Competition with Healthy Pizza Idea Congratulations to Amelie in year 3, who won a special competition devised by our catering manager Jennie Price. Jennie held an assembly for the year group to talk about school dinners and healthy eating and challenged them to come up with a favourite meal and then make it healthy.
