• Monday 2 June 2025 Year 4 discover the hidden history of Chester at the Deva Roman Experience Year 4 had an excellent day in Chester today. They experienced life as a Roman arriving in a strange and distant land and discovered what it was like for those living in the fortress of DEVA long ago!

• Friday 23 May 2025 Year 4 Rock Wrangle The Year 4 pupils had a wonderful day celebrating their amazing times tables achievements.
• Thursday 22 May 2025 Y5's Trip to York (Group 2) Group 2 has ventured into the historic city of York for a day full of discovery and excitement! The children were in awe as they explored the stunning York Minster, taking in its towering architecture and fascinating history. The adventure continued with a relaxing river cruise along the River Ouse, offering beautiful views of the city from the water. It’s been a memorable day of learning, laughter, and making lasting memories in one of England’s most iconic cities.
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 Y5's Trip to York (Group 1) Year 5 have had a fantastic first day in York! Spirits were high as the children explored the historic city, kicking off their adventure with a memorable journey along the River Ouse. As they travelled the waterway, they spotted key landmarks and began to piece together York’s rich history and geography. The children showed great enthusiasm, curiosity, and impeccable behaviour throughout the day – a brilliant start to what promises to be an exciting and enriching trip!
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 Thank you, Miss Barlow Today marked Miss Barlow’s last day supporting at top site. Miss Barlow has been a key part of our team this year and has supported children across years 5 and 6. Her patience, kindness and positivity leave a huge footprint on our school community and we will all miss her.
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 6B Library Visit 6B had a great time this week visiting Wallasey Village Library. As part of their visit, pupils were able to browse the shelves and spend time reading books. At the end, children were able to collect a membership form and reserve books that they want to read. If your child came home with a form, it can be returned to the library for a card. Forms can be collected from the library during their opening hours.
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 Year 6 Heart Dissections Year 6 pupils have had a fantastic day learning about how the heart works. During a special workshop with Mrs Bowden-Pickstock, children identified the 4 chambers of the heart, dissected those chambers and made observations about the thickness of the heart walls. We are so proud of all of our children that participated by dissecting or observing and look forward to building on their new knowledge during our circulation topic next half term.
• Monday 19 May 2025 Year 5 and 6 smartphone free debate launch Our Year 5 and 6 pupils recently participated in a thought-provoking debate with Headteacher Mr. Cassidy about the growing movement towards smartphone-free schools and the broader concept of a smartphone-free childhood. The debate, held in the school hall, saw enthusiastic participation from students on both sides of the argument, demonstrating impressive critical thinking and public speaking skills.
• Friday 16 May 2025 5C Violin Concert Well done to 5C today who performed brilliantly at the end of Year 5 Violin concert. The progress that they have made in such a short space of time was fantastic. They should be really proud of themselves.
• Friday 16 May 2025 Second Culture Club Success Everyone who attended the after-school Culture Club had a great time learning about Namibia on Thursday. They tried on different outfits, took part in activities including dancing and tried lots of tasty food. After half term they will be visiting Jamaica.

• Tuesday 1 April 2025 Year 5 Astrocamp Last Friday 120 children camped overnight at St George's to take part in the Year 5 Astro-camp with opportunities provided for children to take part in stargazing sessions, planetarium and several astronomy workshops.
• Monday 31 March 2025 Fruit Salad Fun in Year 1! Throughout this term, Year 1 have been carefully researching and planning a delicious, healthy fruit salad to share with their grown ups. The children selected their favourite fruits and also developed their own creative design. Grown ups thoroughly enjoyed tasting the salads and also had a sneaky peek at the children's work. Well done Year 1, we are so proud of your creativity!
