School Council Supporting the Social Supermarket

Our fabulous Year 6 school councillors visited the Claremount Social Supermarket today to donate a huge amount of food.  It was wonderful to see our children so proactively involved in a community initiative.

Kerry Hoy manager of the Claremount Social Supermarket said, "A huge thank you to St Georges.  It is great to see the school supporting our community work again.  This will make a huge difference to our community."

Mr Cassidy commented, "It was a joy to work with the children today and support our much valued social supermarket.  Their community spirit is an inspiration and reflects the best of our school."

Jamie Johnson a Year 6 school council leader, stated, "It was really good to help other.  I never knew how many people used the social supermarket".

The Claremount Social Supermarket is open to the whole community beytween 3.00-5.00pm every Thursday and Friday.
