Year three forest school

3A, 3B and 3E had a great time in forest school today! Visiting the forest supported many areas of our curriculum but focussed particularly on science and team building linked to PSHE. The children found many different examples of plants which we are studying this term, as well as finding lots of different mini beasts including a red spider! There were many dandelions which they were blowing and watching the seeds disperse. We also talked about how the zip wire recalls learning from a previous topic as it is a force. The children enjoyed participating in many activities today including the zip wire, using the bow saw, playing in the mud kitchen, digging, toasting a bagel etc. Thank you Mrs Ainscough for delivering the sessions!
